Opportunities that Benview could provide.

Opportunities for living, work, and recreation.

The proximity to Canberra provides an opportunity to have a business office in Canberra while living in the country. Modern communications allow someone to work from an office at home, while retaining quick access to an airport for interstate business travel. The present owners have done these things over many years.

The main agricultural use of Benview has been for cattle, sheep, and horses, although the size of the property means that these activities need to be regarded as a supplement to other business activities. There are several large farm properties nearby which agist cattle and sheep on Benview. Most of Benview is gently sloping and capable of growing crops, which has been done in the past.

Over the last 30 years there has been a considerable increase in diversified rural activities such as vineyards, one of which adjoins Benview.

As the National Capital of Australia, Canberra draws many tourists to its many national institutions, a range of events, and other tourist attractions. It also has a population that is involved in many outdoor and sports activities.

Benview has a potential for diversification into new agricultural uses, tourism, and in providing for the interests of people in the ACT.
